Twelve years
Today La Naturaleza del Software turns twelve. It’s incredible that I still have the motivation to write, given that thousands of blogs were born in 2005 and very few of them are left.
But here we are, alive and kicking, after twelve years. To celebrate, I’ll leave you a selection of twelve articles, one per year. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope to keep at this for twelve more years:
- 2017: Walking with dromedaries, reflections on Conway’s Law
- 2016: Every company is a software company, or will be, a reflection on the laws of computing, complexity and entrepreneurship. Or put another way, how Gödel’s theorem guarantees there will always be something to start a business on.
- 2015: Revelations, one night I received a visit and was swept up into a state of apocalyptic enlightenment.
- 2014: VUCA, Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
- 2013: Mars needs women, why mixed teams are better.
- 2012: Sayings, madmen and trains, where I tell a couple of jokes.
- 2011: Reading comprehension, a mistake that has caused plenty of headaches
- 2010: How to hire jugglers
- 2009: The Dreystadt techniques, a bittersweet story.
- 2008: The hackers of October 5, a tribute to two great friends.
- 2007: Lessons from Ratatouille, how that film teaches us a thing or two about talent.
- 2006: The first Chilean web entrepreneur, a small tribute.
- 2005: The doomsday machines, in case AIs scare you.
