Being the protagonist
According to a poll, among people under 30 the feeling that the Chilean
national team is going to do well is much stronger than among us, the
older ones.
Maybe it’s because we got used to sporting disappointments.
I’m not a soccer fan, but it moves me to see the national team playing this kind of match. Anyone who has watched La Roja play while abroad will understand me. I don’t know why, but that experience changed me, for the better. It made me love my country more.
That was when I stopped saying “this country” and started saying my country, or our country.
This team has a different attitude, a positive,
professional
attitude, and we should take advantage of that example, in our personal
and professional lives, and point it out to the people who work with
us.
No more playing it timid. We have to try to be the protagonists of our
own story, as Bielsa says.
Enough of playing for the draw, of settling for the bare passing grade, of scraping through with a 3.95. We have to go on the attack!
Better to lose fighting than to lose cowering.
The only way to bring about change is to be the protagonist of the story, of life.
C-H-I!!
