Linus Torvalds on Git

It’s been a while since I wrote more technical articles, so I’m going to pick up some topics I’d like to dig into (which is an excuse to learn new things). And one topic that has interested me, for a couple of years at least, is the development of DVCSs, distributed version control systems. On this subject I’m more or less convinced that Git is the way to go, but before explaining why, I want to leave you with this video of Linus Torvalds talking about this DVCS. The video is also very interesting because you rarely get to see Linus presenting, and expressing his opinions live with as much force as he does in writing.

Here is the video. It’s in English, with no subtitles, but if you are going to make a living developing software I assume you know English, and can listen to a talk in English without translators, right?
