Women in tech, Ada Lovelace Day 2010
March 24 is Ada Lovelace Day, which is a day for blogging about the contribution of women in technology.
The spirit of Ada Lovelace Day is to promote and recognize the outstanding work of our female colleagues in the field.
Last year my tribute went to María Cecilia Rivara.
This year my recognition goes to Marcela Larenas and Paulina Lopez, and through them to a special group of talented colleagues who work at REUNA.

Marcela Cárdenas, Paulina López and Marcela Larenas
Of the places where technology gets done in Chile, there are few where women have a leadership role, but REUNA is a very notable case. I’ve had the chance to work with Marcela and her team, and they are top-notch.
May this day serve to remind us of the many colleagues of ours who work in technology, to salute them, and to encourage more women to follow this path.
And I take the chance to salute all the women who contribute to technology, and in particular my fellow computer engineers. Happy Ada Lovelace Day.
