Please don't turn Marx into a false prophet

It seems Marx is being quoted in Spain as if he were a regular Nostradamus. The truth is that texts he never wrote are being made up, as MalaPrensa reports.

Since our politicians in Chile are very good at plagiarizing, especially from the Spanish, I’ve decided to copy this fake Karl Marx text:

The owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more goods, houses, expensive technology, pushing them to take on more and more expensive debts until the debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to the bankruptcy of the banks, which will have to be nationalized.

This is a fake quote from Capital, and it apparently originates in an email that is spreading this false information, a text that even contradicts Marx’s doctrines.

So watch out, now you know: don’t let anyone fool you with these “prophetic quotes”.
