I don't like captchas, but...

Regular readers of this blog know that I don’t like captchas, but the truth is I’m fed up with spam comments. A good deal of time gets wasted managing them, and I’m tired of the whole thing.

So we are going to turn captchas on, using the Movable Type default, and I hope you don’t get one as hideous as this one.

Incidentally, I turned the captcha on by accident a few months ago and I think it worked, though I suspect too well, because comments dropped to nearly 0 :(

The truth is I think there are better options, but I don’t have much time to implement them right now, so I hope you’ll forgive me. And if anybody knows of an alternative that works with Movable Type 4, leave me a note (if the captcha lets you).
