Myrmecology with Google Earth

Myrmecology, the study of ants, has taken a technological leap thanks to Google Earth.
In fact, myrmecologists are so grateful to Google Earth that one researcher named a new species found in Madagascar Proceratium Google.

The interesting part is that you can now add to Google Earth a complete georeference of the world’s ants. This database is provided by AntWeb, and below I explain how you can add it to your Google Earth, if the subject interests you:
