Thoughts on MPPCPDV
One of the characteristics of adhocracy is that it is reactive, not proactive. I’m not saying that’s good or bad, it just is. It is born as a reaction to something the community feels is out of line.
The way adhocracy shows itself is that groups of affected people get activated, speak out, and when the goal is achieved, the movement disappears.
Adhocracy exists because democracy has been discredited. People don’t trust the authorities.
Adhocracy cuts across the board. Those who commit to the cause in question may hold totally opposite ideologies, or none at all. The only thing uniting them is the sense that there is a problem that affects them, or bothers them, and has to be solved.
In the case of MPPCPDV, those of us who support this movement think
there is an alternative to the government’s proposal.
So far MPPCDV has been mainly a media movement.
