The blogosphere doubles every 5 months
The blogosphere doubles every 5 months!!! Wow!

It seems growth always looks like this, mysteriously analogous to Moore’s Law.
Could we be looking at a case of Moron’s Law, which tells us that the number of incorrect observations of Moore’s Law doubles every 18 months?
What really matters is the level of activity. According to technorati, 55% of blogs remain active, a statistic that has held steady over a year. 13% are updated weekly.

Hmmm...
Let’s see...
According to Sifry, we have one post every 10.4 seconds, and there are 14.2 million blogs as of August 2005.
According to Internet World Stats,
the world population is 6,420,102,722 people, and internet penetration
is 14.6%, which means we have 938,710,929
internet users.
The number of bloggers registered on technorati represents 1.51% of internet users (assuming 1 blog per user, which is not my case, because I have more than 1 blog and all of them are registered on technorati).
That is no small thing...
There is still room to grow. I would like to know how much information this noisy 1.51% produces, and using information theory we could calculate how much quality there is in blogs. So I am eagerly waiting for more statistics.… :::
