About
This blog has been active since 2005.
The original idea was to write about the art of building software; over time, other topics crept in. As of this writing (January 2020), the blog holds more than a thousand articles.
Over the years I focused more and more on software engineering, and that has been the main subject of this blog for a long time now.
That is why, alongside this blog, I keep two other sites (both in Spanish):
- La Sombra de Dijkstra, where I write exclusively about programming.
- Akarrú, where I publish about my hobbies and personal interests.
Since 2020 all the content of this blog has been available in this GitHub repository: https://github.com/lnds/lnds-site. If you find a typo, I would appreciate a pull request fixing it.
My name is Eduardo Díaz. I hold a degree in computer engineering and a master’s in information technology from the Universidad de Chile. I have been an entrepreneur and an executive at several companies in Chile. I am a speaker and a writer.
My book “La Naturaleza del Software” is available on Amazon at this URL: https://amzn.to/2RcA9W6
A note on the English version. The blog is written in Spanish. The English posts are translations of the Spanish originals, made with the help of AI. If you spot an error, a pull request or an issue on the blog’s repository is welcome.
